Leave the crowded city celebrations behind and welcome the New Year in the heart of the Arctic wilderness. Designed strictly for a maximum of 8 guests, this exclusive New Year's Eve Aurora chase is about intimacy, flexibility, and experiencing nature on its own terms.

Because winter weather dictates the best viewing spots, we adapt our transport to the conditions of the night. Whether we are chasing clear skies in our comfortable van, gliding through the snow on a sled pulled by a snowmobile, or strapping on snowshoes for a short hike into the silent forest, our goal is to find the perfect secluded location away from light pollution.

Once we establish our wilderness basecamp, we'll build a crackling bonfire. Warm up with a steaming bowl of hearty stew and grill sausages over the open flames while enjoying a curated board of local Arctic snacks. As midnight approaches, we will watch the skies for the Northern Lights, stargaze, and toast to the New Year in absolute tranquillity. Photos (professional camera) of you and the Aurora (conditions permitting) are included so you can stay fully present in the moment!

Highlights:

  • Escape the Crowds: An exclusive, small-group NYE experience capped at just 8 guests.
  • Adaptable Route: We use a mix of van, snowmobile sled, or snowshoes depending on the night's weather to find the best dark skies.
  • Wilderness Dinner: Enjoy a hot, hearty stew and grill your own sausages over an open campfire.
  • Midnight Under the Stars: Welcome the New Year surrounded by Arctic nature, far from city light pollution.
  • Photography: Your guide will capture photos of you and the Northern Lights (weather permitting) during the tour AND give you phone/camera tripods so you may go on your own!

What's included:

  • Guided Aurora chase (Max 8 guests)
  • Transport adapted to weather (Van, snowshoes, or snowmobile sled)
  • Arctic overalls and winter boots
  • Extra warm socks and disposable chemical hand/feet warmers
  • Hot wilderness dinner (hearty stew and sausages for the grill)
  • Local Arctic snacks tasting board
  • Hot beverages, including traditional Scandinavian Glögg (non-alco)
  • Photos taken with a professional camera from the tour sent after the trip

What's not included:

  • Alcoholic beverages

Before you book:

  • Please dress warmly, accordingly to weather conditions! We'll provide you with overalls and boots, but the most important is how you dress underneath them (overalls go on top of all your layers). We're hopefully going to spend quite a time outside, stargazing and observing Northern Lights - don't let lack of own preparation ruin it! If you have any questions regarding dress code - feel free to contact us before the tour!
  • Showing up intoxicated is strictly prohibited! In that case we reserve the right to ban the participant without right to refund.
  • We're aware of the celebration vibe during this particular tour, nevertheless we recommend to limit or completely refrain from any alcoholic drinks at midnight. Alcohol significantly decreases cold resistance in your body.

What to bring:

We're going to celebrate coming of New Year somewhere in wilderness, but we still do celebrate :) Bring your good humour, smile and enthusiasm - we will try to add some excitement as a cherry on the top! Yet, there are things you may carry to make the whole experience more comfortable:

  • never too much extra clothes ;) It's good to have spare pair of gloves (even base layer ones) or socks
  • we'll bring drinks and food, but feel free to take your favourite treaties - there's nothing better than starting a New Year with something (and somebody!!) you love, right?
  • powerbanks! If only you have any, take it - we plan to stay outside, we hope to see wonderful Aurora and it'd be so sad to have your battery drained the moment you need it the most! Remember -- in the cold phones discharge extremely quick!
