Answer the call of the Arctic wild! Our Snowmobile Expedition is not just a ride - it is a test of spirit, a challenge for the courageous, and a rare opportunity to experience Lapland as a true wilderness explorer.

A Linear Wilderness Crossing

Unlike standard tours that circle around a localized track, this full-day expedition is a linear, point-to-point adventure between Poikkijärvi and Svappavaara. Over a distance of up to to 40 km, you will navigate a constantly changing landscape of frozen riverbeds, deep snowdrifts, and dense taiga forests. Because you never backtrack, every turn brings an entirely new horizon to conquer.

Paced for the Journey

A real expedition requires both stamina and smart pacing. To make this challenging journey accessible and rewarding - even for first-time drivers - we break up the ride with regular, short rest stops along the trail. These breaks give your hands and muscles time to relax, allow you to absorb the absolute silence of the far north, and provide endless opportunities to capture photos of the wild landscape.

The Open Fire Midway

At the heart of the journey, we cut our engines deep in the woods for a wilderness lunch break. Gathered around a roaring bonfire, you’ll enjoy a hearty, warm meal and hot drinks, sharing stories with your guide as the fire restores your core heat for the second leg of the expedition.

An Unforgettable Badge of Honor

This tour is designed for those who want more than a simple photo opportunity; it is for travelers who want to feel the raw power of the Arctic climate and return home with a genuine story of accomplishment. By late afternoon, you will be back in Kiruna - tired, accomplished, and ready for your evening plans.

If you have the courage to venture beyond the beaten path, step up to the snowmobile and take on the wilderness!

What's included:

  • guided 35-40km point-to-point snowmobile expedition
  • heavy-duty Arctic clothing (overalls, boots, mittens, extra socks, chemical hand/foot warmers)
  • snowmobile gear (helmet, balaclava etc.)
  • hot wilderness lunch (stew, sausages)
  • hot beverage and snacks
  • transfers

Before you book:

Because this is an endurance expedition, strict rules apply to ensure the safety of the group:

  • Driver’s License: You must present a valid physical car or motorcycle license before the tour begins. No license, no driving.
  • Age Limits: Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Passengers must be at least 17 years old (in some cases we could make an exception for 16 years old, but you must contact us before booking)
  • Zero Tolerance for Alcohol or Drugs: It is strictly illegal to operate a snowmobile under the influence in Sweden. We reserve the right to breathalyze or deny participation without a refund if intoxication is suspected. For health-safety reasons, that rule applies also to non-driving passengers.
  • Damage Liability: Snowmobiles are powerful, expensive machines. In the event of a crash or damage caused by reckless driving, the driver is liable for an on-the-spot deductible of up to 7000 SEK (rest of the repair cost is covered by Insurance Company)
  • Weather Clause: In the event of extreme blizzards or unsafe trail conditions, the route may be modified to a looped trail or shortened for your safety.

Please, be aware of how demanding our tour can be. We want to share this amazing experience with as many people as possible, but we ask you to realistically assess capabilities of your bodies and simply use common sense. Our expedition means we spend several hours sitting on a snowmobile, in harsh Arctic conditions (cold, wind etc.) - which can lead to some muscle pain (maintaining grip) and overall fatigue (coldness wears you down, but also "new/weird" sitting position on the machine). On the other hand, even better satisfaction once you accomplish the trip! :)

Regardless of our warnings, you can be sure that our tour is suitable for any "average" adult - otherwise we wouldn't do it! Plus, we do everything in our power to provide you safe, controlled and fun experience!

If you have any doubts, feel free to contact us before you make a decision - we'll gladly help you with all the questions.

What to bring:

  • enthusiasm and excitement for the upcoming adventure :)
  • we provide hot beverages and some snacks, but feel free to bring your favourites too. Just remember, drinks without thermoses may freeze (or drinking super cold juoce doesn't really make you feel warmer)
  • spare socks/gloves are always handy
  • if you take same medicaments which require set times of a day, bring extra dose in case of some emergency/unexpected delays
  • you'll receive helmet, but don't forget a hat to cover your head during breaks
  • we don't provide any cameras, so feel free to bring your own
  • make sure your phone is charged before we start. If you have a powerbank, that's great! (batteries discharge really fast in such conditions and we're pretty sure you'll want to take a lot of photos!)
